In brief: Lorewarden collects only what is strictly necessary to provide the service. No advertising, no marketing trackers, no data sales.
Data Controller

Data Collected
- Account: email address, username, password (stored hashed, never in plaintext), date of last login.
- Google Login (optional): if you use "Sign in with Google", a Google identifier is linked to your account.
- Content you create: characters (attributes, spells, inventory, narrative history), campaigns, Game Master notes.
Purposes and Legal Basis
This data is used only to provide the service you request (create an account, save your characters, share a campaign with your table). Legal basis: performance of service. No profiling, no advertising.
Cookies and Local Storage
- Session Cookie (required): keeps you logged in.
HttpOnly,SameSite=Lax. - CSRF Token (security): protects forms.
- Theme Preference (
localStorage): Obsidian/Velin, non-personal data, stored locally in your browser.
These elements are strictly necessary for operation: no advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
Third-Party Services
- Google: optional login and typefaces (Google Fonts): in these cases, your IP address is transmitted to Google.
- Spotify and Freesound: audio ambience on the Game Master side (optional), for music and sound effects.
- Infomaniak: hosting, in Switzerland (a country recognized as offering adequate data protection).
Data Retention Period
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. It is deleted when you request account deletion.
Your Rights
In accordance with GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and objection. To exercise them, or to delete your account, write to contact@lorewarden.quest. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (France).
Security
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Communications use HTTPS. As with any alpha-stage project, no absolute guarantee can be given: do not enter information you would not want to be exposed.
